CT Technologist (non-registered)

Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, age-appropriate diagnostic imaging procedures with independence, utilizing proper equipment setup and patient positioning. The technologist ensures quality images while minimizing radiation exposure, maintains equipment, and adheres to infection control standards. Key Responsibilities: Verifies clinician orders, obtains patient history, administers contrast medias safely, reviews images for quality, responds to emergencies, and maintains patient dignity and comfort. Assists with all modalities as needed and demonstrates proficiency in sterile technique and venipuncture. Ensures proper documentation, patient identification, and adheres to pre- and post-procedural care protocols. Patient Care & Communication: Explains procedures clearly, addresses patient concerns, and provides preparatory instructions. Participates in training and ensures concise, accurate documentation. Quality & Operations: Produces acceptable images, maintains equipment functionality, manages supplies, transports patients, and performs clerical duties as necessary. Operates all workstations, maintains regulatory standards, and supports team collaboration. Qualifications: Requires Radiologic Technology certification, minimum 1 year radiology experience, ARRT-R credential, and BLS certification.
