Phlebotomist II - North Bergen, NJ Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist II in North Bergen, NJ. This is a hospital-based position at Palisades. Pay range: $19.41 – $29.12 per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Administer oral solutions per training. Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems and approved tools. Navigate a computer and accurately enter data. Obtain identification and enter billing information, collecting payments when required. Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport. Perform non‑patient‑facing duties: inventory, supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures. Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data. Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance and temperature logs) timely. Complete online and in‑person training courses on time. Qualifications Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Keyboard / data entry experience. Flexible availability to accommodate staffing needs (weekends, holidays, on‑call, overtime). Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, clean driving record (if applicable). High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.
