Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary: This position supports the mission of HCA HealthONE Aurora of optimizing quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for assisting the medical and nursing staffs in providing care to the endoscopy patient. The endoscopy technician is also responsible for care and maintenance of endoscopy equipment. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

1. Position Requirements:

1. Licensure/Certification/Registration: EMT or Paramedic Certification preferred. BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required

1. Education:

1. Experience: Endoscopy experience preferred.

1. Special Qualifications: Knowledge of basic clinical practices, procedures, and standards. Ability to work closely with physician and Nursing. Working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment. Excellent communication skills with all internal and external customers.
