The Billing Collections Specialist performs a variety of collection activities utilizing sound and proactive collection techniques. In order to succeed, this role requires effective communication skills, the ability to influence and work with a committed sense of urgency./ppJob Responsibilities:/pulliCollaborate with PMs and Change order specialist to process monthly AIA billings for open and active projects./liliGenerate and issue accurate AIA project billing in compliance with contractual and company standards in our ERP system./liliCall overdue accounts for payment, 1st and 2nd calls. (3rd calls if necessary)/liliEnsure collection efforts are performed with a customer service approach/liliAnalyze delinquent accounts and make recommendations for resolution on high-risk accounts/liliAnswer incoming calls/e-mails and assist customers and service managers/DMs with questions as needed/liliEnter information tracking system for all calls made to customers/liliEstablish and negotiate mutually satisfactory payment arrangements and follow up with customers consistently/liliInitiates small claims court actions, submits proper forms to the court, and appears in court to testify/liliResearches disputed balances and payments. Updates Credit Bureau(s) for disputed accounts/liliProcess credit cards/liliCommunicates status of account problems on a regular basis to Office/Collections Manager/liliResponsible for meeting or exceeding assigned goals/liliPrint, fax and email invoices to customers on request/liliWork with customers, DMs and other team members to secure payments in a timely manner/liliReport on progress of collections each month to Office/Collections Manager/li/ulpJob Qualifications:/pulliAssociate degree is preferred./liliMinimum of 2 to 4 years experience in billing/collections/liliProficiency with Microsoft Office suite/liliExperience with Great Plains accounting system is a plus but not required/liliAbility to work simultaneously in multiple platforms/liliExcellent communication skills/liliExcellent working relationship with the sales/service departments/liliAbility to adapt to a changing environment/liliExcellent organizational skills/liliAbility to work well with co-workers and superiors/liliAbility to thrive in fast-paced organization/li/ulpSuccessful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
