Job Details Job Summary The Program Coordinator for Faculty Research Developmentcoordinates the day-to-day operation of programs or projects, andadministrative functions, exercising independent judgment anddecision-making authority as required. This position ensuresprograms and departmental activities run efficiently, meet goals,and stays within budget while providing administrative, financial,and operational support staff and faculty. This role servesas the liaison between teams and stakeholders, facilitatescommunication, and supports initiatives that contribute to thedepartment's strategic objectives, success, and growth.exercising independent judgment and authority asrequired. Core Responsibilities Coordinates andmanages assigned phases of programs, projects, and administrativeoperations, which may include budget decisions, program selection,staff supervision, future planning, and innovation, to ensureeffective resource utilization and the achievement of departmentalgoals. Proposes,evaluates, and coordinates the implementation of programs,departmental projects, and initiatives by tracking timelines,monitoring progress, and ensuring deliverables align with strategicobjectives. Plans,schedules, and coordinates activities for assigned programs andprojects, managing calendars, meetings, and logistical arrangementsto ensure the seamless coordination of appointments,communications, and program operations. Ensuresprogramneedsaremetthroughresourceplanning,tracking,andmanagement.Resourcesinclude talent, supplies, and facilities. Serves as aprimary liaison for assigned programs by coordinating informationflow, overseeing marketing and communication efforts, disseminatingupdates, and fostering effective communication amongstakeholders. Analyzes andevaluates program and departmental operations, identifyingopportunities for improvement and recommending enhancements thatpromote operational efficiency, effectiveness, and continuedalignment with the department's mission and goals. Maintainstrackingandreportingsystemstomonitorprogram/participantprogressandresults. Supports budgetdevelopment and financial administration by compiling and analyzingdata, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, monitoringbudget-related activities, and providing timely progress and statusreports to program sponsors and other university personnel. Prepares andmaintains program reports, supports the development of internalcontrols, and provides administrative and operational support bycreating, reviewing, and proofreading correspondence,presentations, reports, and other program-relateddocumentation. Interactswithuniversitydepartments,specialgroups,andexternalagenciestocoordinate Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma, Vocational Training, or Apprenticeship ina related field. Five (5) years of related work experience. This position may require the ability to maintain the securityand integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per TexasEO-GA-48. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree.
