Title Occupational Therapy Assistant Location/work environment In facility Reporting structure Reporting to Director of Rehab Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments. You are a healer and a helper, addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. Your goal is to execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence. You adapt to patients’ needs, find joy in varied work and settings, collaborate with peers, and make referrals to support patient needs. You put patients first, ensuring families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards. Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
