Senior Audit Associate

As a leading accounting, tax, and advisory firm in Central New York, we’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Audit Associate to join our team and help deliver outstanding service across a diverse client base. What You’ll Do As a Senior Audit Associate, you’ll take on a key role in leading and executing audit engagements while mentoring junior team members and developing client relationships. You’ll be empowered to make informed decisions, manage multiple priorities, and grow as a leader in a supportive and collaborative environment. Your responsibilities will include: Leading audits, reviews, and other assurance services from planning through completion Managing multiple engagements simultaneously and ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables Guiding and mentoring junior staff, interns, and associates Applying your knowledge of GAAP and GAAS to complex accounting issues and client needs Conducting technical research and supporting conclusions with authoritative guidance Collaborating with clients and team members to identify improvements in internal processes and controls Actively contributing to firm initiatives and business development goals What We’re Looking For You bring a proactive mindset and a desire to build strong relationships—with your team and your clients. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience CPA license preferred (or in progress) Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and audit software tools Ability to travel to client sites as needed Professional traits: Integrity, curiosity, energy, humility, and a commitment to excellence Why FustCharles? Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 Annually The listed salary range is intended as a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, skills, and alignment with the needs of the role.
