In this role, you will support test, design and procurement of solar array sub-assemblies from multiple suppliers. This position is located onsite in Redondo Beach, CA.*Please be aware that this position is contingent upon capturing program award(s) and obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding. Furthermore, this position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance at the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Produce photovoltaic array electrical design related engineering drawings and specificationsPlanning and execution of design, analysis, test and qualification and may include mechanical solar array structuresProvide status, problem resolution plans and provide input as an Integrated Process Team (IPT) member to a complete solar array mechanical/electrical design and production effortsSupport weekly subcontract telecoms, review in-process data, attend Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRRs) and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), review test data and support pre-shipment readiness review meetingDevelop cost estimates and track efforts to these estimatesThis position can be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.Basic Qualifications for Solar Array Electrical Engineer - Level 3:Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in STEM with 1 year of relevant experienceMust have active SCI access at the time of application or an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company, prior to the start dateExperience with procurement of aerospace hardware design and/or development of componentsExperience in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting of components and equipmentBasic Qualifications for Solar Array Electrical Engineer - Level 4:Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree in STEM with 6 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in STEM with 4 years of relevant experienceMust have active SCI access at the time of application or an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company, prior to the start dateExperience with procurement of aerospace hardware design and/or development of componentsExperience in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting of components and equipmentPreferred Qualifications:Working and programming knowledge with LabViewDemonstrated multidisciplinary skills and ability to work with manufacturing and other engineering disciplinesExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ProjectPrimary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
