Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Nursing Team - 12 Hour Nights!

Job Description:


- Shift: 12-hour nights, every other weekend
- Unit Details:
- Tele-Neuro Stroke unit on the 3rd floor, part of a monitor pod
- 15 beds, nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 days, 1:5 nights
- Opportunities to precept as needed


- Clinical Skills Required:
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips independently
- Pass the Basic Dysrhythmia exam (minimum 83%) - three attempts available
- Preferably 2+ years of nursing experience (1 year acceptable if confident)
- Experience in neuro and cardiac care is highly preferred


- Patient Population:
- Diverse neuro tele patients primarily with large stroke populations
- Acute onset seizures and medical overflow patients


- Work Environment:
- Exciting and collaborative unit with solid communication
- Access to management and vital resources is always available


- Floating Requirements:
- Primarily float within three monitor pods; occasionally to MedSurg
- Expected to float between two campus locations (16 minutes apart)

- Dress Code:
- Navy scrubs required; undershirts must be navy; scrub jackets optional


- Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts within a 13-week assignment
