What You'll Do Diagnose malfunctions on equipment and perform repairs. Operate mobile equipment such as loaders, forklifts, trucks, material handlers, and other equipment to troubleshoot. Ensure all jobs are completed proficiently and safely in the plant and/or garage shop areas while wearing personal protective equipment. Inspect vehicles for safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists, ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working order. Comply with DOT and state inspection requirements. Complete DOT manifests and paperwork. Perform trailer maintenance, including electrical, tire changing, and brakes. What You'll Need Ability to perform minor repairs and routine tasks efficiently, correctly, and safely. Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all plant-specific rules, procedures, and duties. Minimum 2 years of prior DOT experience. No on-road preventable accidents during the past three years as shown on the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); accidents are reviewed by CMC Logistics. Electrical troubleshooting and installation skills. Brake certification. Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR. Your Education High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
