Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide support to licensed physical therapists by assisting with patient treatments, rehabilitation exercises, and mobility activities. Ensure patient comfort and safety while contributing to care plans to promote recovery and wellness.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
• Prepare treatment areas and assist with the setup of necessary equipment.
• Educate patients and family members on exercises and post-treatment care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain clean, organized treatment spaces.

Qualifications:

• Valid physical therapy assistant license or certification.
• Proven experience working in assisted living or long-term care settings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and patient safety procedures.
• Ability to handle physically demanding activities and lift patients as needed.
