Warehouse Operator – Sioux Falls, SD

Additional Details:

• Location: Sioux Falls, SD (fully onsite)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm
• Duration: Six-month assignment, potential for extension based on business needs
• Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
• Experience: Candidates should have basic warehouse experience and a good understanding of warehouse procedures.

Job Description:
Under moderate supervision, the Warehouse Operator is responsible for performing established procedures to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions, and dispatch goods in a warehouse setting. This role involves receiving incoming goods, checking for any damage or discrepancies, and accurately sorting, labeling, and storing items to optimize warehouse space. The operator will also be responsible for picking, packing, and dispatching outgoing goods according to written and verbal instructions. Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):

• Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
• Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
• Comply with all HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Look out for one another and promote a safe working environment.
• Correct hazards as appropriate.
• Understand and minimize the environmental impact of your work.
• Participate in all required HSE training.

Quality:

• Adhere to all standard work, work instructions, and quality procedures.
• Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.
• Perform quality checks for damaged goods or discrepancies between goods and invoices.
• Identify and control non-conforming materials.

Delivery:

• Receive, accurately sort, label, package, and store goods to optimize space utilization.
• Operate manual and automated equipment to pick, pack, and ship products, meeting customer expectations.
• Maintain a high level of competency in core work skills and meet required cycle times.

Teamwork:

• Communicate effectively within the team and with all support teams.
• Complete all required training in a timely manner.
• Actively participate in quality, safety, and process improvement efforts.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including housekeeping and routine equipment care.
• Collaborate with peers and support staff to maintain equipment and report repair needs.
• Remain flexible and perform additional duties as needed to meet business goals.
