MS/Tele RN - Days

Location: Maryland

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift: 3x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30 with every other weekend required.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated MS/Tele Registered Nurse to join our team for day shifts in an observation unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing patients with various conditions, including chest pain, abdominal pain, urinary tract infections, and orthopedic trauma. RNs in this unit are responsible for peritoneal dialysis management and documentation with support from dialysis nurses for exchanges.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a patient load of 5-6 with lower acuity.
• Perform and document assessments, vital signs, and treatments.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float within the specialty as needed, with occasional shifts at a sister facility.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in patient education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required.
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact license.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI.
• Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with electronic charting systems, specifically Epic.
