Join a reputable employer in the Farmingdale, NY area that is expanding and hiring several experienced Diesel Truck Mechanics to maintain and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks. Mechanics will perform repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles including semi-trucks, dump trucks, box trucks, flatbed trucks, Reefer trucks, five tons, box trucks, and more. - Maintain work area safety
- Conduct diesel repairs, service, and diagnostics
- Service customers and handle road calls
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions
- Work with minimal supervision
- Inspect trucks for proper working condition
- Perform routine maintenance
- Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment
- Repair major components (engine, transmission, differentials)
- Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements
- 3+ years of diesel/automotive mechanic experience
- Strong diagnostic troubleshooting skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Diesel Mechanic/Technician training (a plus)
- Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred
- Strong communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have your own set of tools
