Job Description
Addison Group is partnering with one of our clients to hire a Reimbursement Specialist with a strong background in liability billing and collections. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering a hybrid work model after initial training. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience working liability claims, negotiating with attorneys, and managing complex accounts receivable workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound calls from patients, attorneys, and insurance representatives regarding account inquiries
- Provide clear explanations of billing statements, claim status, and payment processes
- Conduct ongoing follow-up with insurance carriers and legal contacts to support timely claim resolution
- Accurately document all account activity to maintain compliance and audit readiness
- Review accounts for accuracy, applying adjustments in alignment with approved fee schedules and internal guidelines
- Research unpaid or underpaid claims and gather required documentation to support processing
Qualifications
- Must have 2+ years of recent liability-focused AR or collections experience
- Demonstrated experience working with major liability payors
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Practice management system experience
