Mission-Critical Electrical Preconstruction Leader

Electrical Preconstruction Manager The Electrical Preconstruction Manager focuses on companywide success in adherence to MCC Standards and all preconstruction activities necessary for the preparation and execution of the mechanical scope for all of Manhattan’s preconstruction deliverables. The position is responsible for guiding and mentoring other team members and requires strong communication, client service, and ownership skills. Major Duties & Responsibilities Represent Manhattan’s Electrical / Low Voltage Services to Clients Meet Client Needs/Budget and Attend OAC / Design Meetings Provide Concept Budget Assistance Perform Value Management Analysis Coordinate with operations team to ensure the correct Cost Budget is sent to accounting Maintain the Manhattan Code of Business Practices and ensure the team follows the Guiding Principles Establish and Monitor Subcontractor Relationships Assist Bid-Day Assignments Attend and Organize Preconstruction Meetings Leverage strong knowledge of General Conditions Estimates/Schedule and Below the Line costs Assist with Business Development Strategies Ensure thorough understanding and compliance with Risk Management Policies Coordinate Subcontractor Networking Efforts Review all Subcontracts prior to Issuance to Subcontractors Manage expectations for the team for their projects Provide quarterly check-ins and performance reviews with all direct reports Adhere to Guiding Principles and exhibit attributes matching the Way We Work Other responsibilities as assigned Job Skills & Abilities Guidelines Knowledge and efficiency in Manhattan software Strong networking ability, known in the community Strong conceptual estimating skills Experience delivering preconstruction services to clients and managing the budget Familiarity with logistics and operations Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong math/accounting skills Ability to meet critical deadlines Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times Time management and organizational skills Knowledge of Autodesk Software Knowledge of Estimating & Takeoff Software Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent (education degree may be substituted for related experience on a one-to-one basis) 12 years of industry experience Experience with & knowledge of Electrical scope of work (subcontractor/design firm) Working Conditions and Physical Efforts Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day Ability to repeat the same movements Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls Use hands to type, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls Occasionally lift, pull, or move up to 25 lbs Occasional travel will be required, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver’s License) #J-18808-Ljbffr Manhattan Construction Group
