Job Responsibilities
- Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patient needs and devise personalized therapy strategies to help them achieve their objectives.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Use research-driven practices to boost patients' motor functions, cognitive abilities, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with Multi-Disciplinary Teams: Work hand-in-hand with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, doctors, and nursing staff to provide holistic patient care.
- Guide Patients and Their Families: Educate about therapeutic techniques to aid in continued recovery at home.
- Track and Document Patient Progress: Monitor clinical results and refine treatments as necessary to help patients stay on track.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Encouragement for ongoing education or postgraduate certifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required
- A genuine love for helping individuals attain their pinnacle of independence
- Strong, empathetic communication skills for both patients and colleagues
