Clinic Nurse Supervisor

Status:  Full Time – Non-Exempt

Reports to:  Clinic Manager

Purpose and Scope of Position

The Clinic Nurse Supervisor delivers nursing care to Beartooth Billings Clinic (BBC) patients in the Primary Care Clinic. This role works collaboratively with all members of the clinic healthcare team and requires the ability to apply the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to all care provided.

Organizational Relationship

Under the support and management of the Clinic Manager, the Clinic Nurse Supervisor supports and provides leadership to the nurses and medical assistants. They are responsible for the daily operations of the nursing team, including planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing activities.

Job Requirements

1. Required Qualifications

• For Nurses: Current RN license in the State of Montana or current multi-state license with the ability to practice in all compact states
• Current CPR Certification
• 3 years of experience in a medical setting related to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• ACLS certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

1. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Cerner is preferred .
• Demonstration of progressively more responsible duties and/or previous supervisory experience, preferred

1. Managerial Experience

• 1-2 years’ previous supervisory or managerial experience.
