Travel RN – Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 27-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4–6:1
• Perform and assist with procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, and central line placement
• Manage care of psychiatric patients and coordinate transfers to other facilities in accordance with EMTALA guidelines
• Document and manage patient information using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, RNs, and medics on night shift
• Participate in weekend shift rotation (expected four weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period; no on-call required)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 2–3 years of Emergency Room experience
• Must have completed 2–3 prior travel assignments
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Departments
• Comfort working with patient ratios of 5:1
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH Stroke Scale
• Relaxed, team-oriented, and adaptable personality well-suited to a collaborative department culture
