Your Future Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, coordinating diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or autonomously based on your qualifications
• Providing education to patients and their families about preventative health, wellness, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing medication and treatments in accordance with your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive and holistic patient care
• Maintaining precise documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Background

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program

Certifications Required

• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or comparable specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications or the ability to secure them within 90 days
