What You'll Do

• Direct the maintenance crew so repairs and service calls get done accurately, safely, and on time
• Build out and run the preventive maintenance program to cut equipment downtime
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule PM and corrective work around the production schedule to keep disruptions short
• Respond to breakdowns and malfunctions, drive them to root cause, and put fixes in place that hold
• Write and issue work orders and track progress against estimates
• Line up and manage outside contractors and vendors, and hold them to scope, schedule, and quality
• Coordinate with production and other department leads before scheduled maintenance so their operations are covered
• Track maintenance spend, parts usage, and labor hours, and flag where money is going where it should not
• Research and recommend new tools and equipment that expand what the crew can handle in house
• Escalate equipment risks, safety issues, and schedule threats to department and senior management early

What We Need From You

• 5 or more years hands on maintenance in a manufacturing or production plant, including at least 2 directing or leading other technicians
• Technical degree, trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands on industrial maintenance experience
• Direct experience building or running a preventive maintenance program, not just closing reactive work orders
• Able to read manufacturing blueprints and equipment schematics and work in both English and metric units
• Comfortable in a CMMS or maintenance software system for work orders, PM schedules, and history

Preferred / Bonus

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Bilingual English and Spanish
• Experience with automated manufacturing systems and PLC driven equipment
• MRP or ERP exposure, particularly Oracle or AS400
• Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, or formal root cause analysis training
• Statistical process control and shop floor data analysis
• Track record in complex, custom, low volume manufacturing
