Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist specialized in cardiac catheterization procedures to join our team. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions, ensuring high-quality images are obtained in a timely and safe manner. This role involves verifying physician orders, operating advanced imaging equipment, explaining procedures to patients, and working collaboratively with healthcare staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities Include:

• Verifying physician orders and ensuring procedural accuracy
• Operating radiology equipment for cardiac catheterization and related procedures
• Explaining procedures to patients to ensure their understanding and comfort
• Reviewing images to meet diagnostic standards before transmission
• Performing quality control and maintaining regulatory compliance
• Assisting with departmental operations, including inventory and equipment maintenance
• Adapting patient interactions to ensure respectful, effective communication across diverse populations
• Ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local laws, standards, and regulations

Day Shift, 8 Hours

Qualifications:

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in computer applications and strong communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel between facilities

Physical & Environmental Demands:

The role involves physical activity including exertion of effort to move objects and work in environments with exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and potential hazardous waste. Candidates should be capable of handling physical demands associated with hospital settings and patient care environments.
