Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time X Ray Scan Assessment in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will support a professional environment by screening personnel and belongings, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will use technology to complete screening activities, provide outstanding customer service, and help maintain smooth operations. DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control requirements at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and shipments in accordance with established procedures, reporting prohibited items, discrepancies, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
- Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections as assigned while maintaining accurate logs, visitor records, and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, loading zones, facility entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
