This role involves working within an acute care setting, providing top-tier nursing care to a diverse patient demographic. Key Responsibilities of the RN – Med Surg / Telemetry – Travel
- Provide patient care in a 29-bed unit with a 1:4-5 or 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Administer and titrate specific drips following prescribed protocols
- Collaborate with telemetry techs for patient monitoring
- Manage nursing aides and adapt to varying staff ratios
- Participate in block scheduling with every other weekend and holiday work
- Float to other adult medical/surgical units as required
Requirements of the RN – Med Surg / Telemetry – Travel
- Valid RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
- 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience
