Activity Therapist Opportunity - Per Diem HRI Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Activity Therapist for our inpatient psychiatric units. This is a highly satisfying opportunity for a clinical professional who thrives on providing highly individualized care to a very acute patient population. This is a Per Diem position with hours available on weekdays and/or weekends. HRI Hospital is a 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. Website: As an Activity Therapist, you will: Run assigned treatment groups to meet the need of various functioning level and/or diagnostic categories Utilize interviewing techniques, observations, formal and informal screening/evaluation tools to assess functional level of patients Identify patients' assets and problem areas Collaborate with patients in goal-setting Recommend appropriate activities for goal attainment and assist patients to select appropriate groups and activities Complete daily notes for each group Benefit Highlights: Challenging and rewarding work environment Career development opportunities within UHS and its Subsidiaries Competitive Compensation Qualifications Education: Master's in human services related field required. Art Therapy, Music Therapy or other expressive therapy speciality preferred. License: LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, or OT preferred Experience: One year prior inpatient clinical experience preferred. Six months prior experience as a group leader preferred.
