Category Manager - Global Logistics Sourcing

Labcorp seeks a Category Manager for Global Logistics Sourcing in Burlington, North Carolina to lead strategic sourcing across transportation, freight, warehousing, and distribution services. The hybrid role manages supplier relationships, drives cost optimization, and ensures compliance within a regulated healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing initiatives for logistics, transportation, freight, warehousing, and distribution services
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies balancing cost optimization, service excellence, and compliance
- Build and manage strategic relationships with transportation providers, logistics partners, and suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance, SLAs, and regulatory compliance; resolve performance issues collaboratively
- Analyze spend data, carrier performance, and market trends to identify improvement opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, procurement, business administration, or related field
- 5+ years of logistics sourcing, transportation sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management experience
- 3+ years leading RFQs, RFPs, supplier negotiations, or category management initiatives
- 2+ years using procurement platforms and e-sourcing tools
- Expertise in transportation, freight, and warehousing service sourcing and supplier evaluation
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management in healthcare or life sciences
