About the role The Team Leader is responsible for directing teammates in their respective area and managing day‑to‑day operations so that the team meets its required level of production. The team leader is responsible for the coordination of inbound and outbound product movements within the distribution center. Ensure that client orders are shipped in a timely manner to meet client expectations. Monitor and document the daily volume of inbound and outbound in departmental records. Team leader works closely with his or her teammates to resolve client problems and reports as required on performance, issues and resolutions. Teammate will follow all Insight policies and procedures. Each person is accountable for meeting or exceeding individual and/or departmental metrics. As a Team Lead you will: Effectively utilize a variety of communication tools to ensure key issues are communicated to teammates and management. Provide support in organizing and facilitating department or company meetings. Assume the manager's role during manager absence. Proactively take accountability for getting things done, driving tasks through to completion. Maintain workflow and follow safety procedures and guidelines. Assist in daily workflow to reduce or eliminate overtime. What we're looking for High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience. Team Lead or Supervisory experience required. Forklift experience required. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, other employees. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
