Job Title Maintenance Mechanic Location St. Joseph, MO (Pear Street) Shifts: 1st Shift, 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:00pm) and 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:00am). Overtime and weekends may be required. 2nd shift +$1.00/hr., 3rd shift +$2.00/hr., weekend shift +$0.29/hr. Paid weekly on Fridays. What We Offer Competitive starting pay $32.89/hr. with contractual progression and shift premiums Paid vacation and 13 paid holidays Health, dental, and vision insurance (Day 31) 401k with company match and retirement contributions (RIC 1–7% with 50% match up to 3%) Annual bonus opportunity (4% of gross wages) Free employee battery program (after 120 days) PPE, uniforms, safety glasses, safety shoes, earplugs, and respirators provided $1,000 referral bonus (paid after 90 days) Fitness reimbursement program Recognition programs (Safety Week, Holiday Party, Tenure Awards, World of Fun, Spring Fling, etc.) Opportunities for growth and advancement Job Responsibilities Troubleshooting and repairing machinery and facility equipment Repairs machines, jigs, fixtures, gauges and fits replacement parts and/or makes replacement parts as required Must be able to do electrical, plumbing, heating and roofing repairs Must be able to read schematics and electronic blueprints Must be capable of servicing and operating rectifiers Must be capable of operating precision hand tools and electronic equipment Adjusts machines for production when adjustment is beyond the scope of operator Maintains and installs piping, fittings, valves, gauges and all types of controls for hydraulic systems, gas and air lines Requires ability to set up and operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, welder, etc. Makes periodic checks of machines and equipment and performs preventive maintenance as required; i.e. oils, greases, etc. Performs carpentry and sheet metal work in fabricating and repairing benches, guards, boxes, trays, etc. Qualifications Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and working on computerized equipment Basic math, reading and writing skills Able to work in a fast pace environment, multi-task, and track workload Able to read and schematics and blueprints Able to work overtime and weekends as needed Must be able to wear required PPE (if applicable) Qualified applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident card holder.
