Food Service Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Director to lead our culinary team in providing exceptional dining experiences to our residents and patients. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining high-quality standards of food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise food service staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance

• Develop and implement menus, nutritional plans, and food service policies and procedures

• Oversee food preparation, production, and presentation, ensuring quality and consistency

• Coordinate with dietary consultants and other department heads to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and optimize foodservice operations

• Develop and manage budgets for food, supplies, and labor

• Meet with residents, patients, and families to gather feedback and concerns, and implement improvements accordingly

• Maintain a safe and sanitary food service environment, adhering to OSHA and local health codes

Requirements

• Experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting

• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, patients, families, and staff

• Knowledge of dietary regulations and standards, including HIPAA and Joint Commission requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
