Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Pullman, WA

Schedule: Full-Time, approximately 36 hours per week. Clinic operates 7 days a week from 7:00 AM-7:00 PM. Weekend availability is required. No on-call or overnight shifts.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a collaborative urgent care team. This position offers meaningful clinical autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to clinical workflows and practice development.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat walk-in patients of all ages.

• Manage a broad range of acute illnesses and minor injuries.

• Treat upper respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, skin conditions, sprains, minor fractures, lacerations, and other minor injuries.

• Perform minor procedures, including suturing and wound care.

• Provide basic splinting and injury management.

• Perform and interpret point-of-care testing.

• Provide occupational health services.

• Administer IV therapies as appropriate.

• Develop and maintain high-quality patient care practices.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

• Contribute to clinical protocols, workflows, and practice development.

• Participate in operational and practice-growth initiatives.

• Manage an average patient volume of approximately 25-35+ patients per shift.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

• Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

• Active Washington State NP or PA license.

• Washington State DEA registration or willingness to obtain.

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or a similar setting.

• Experience performing suturing and other minor procedures.

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

• Ability to evaluate and treat a broad range of patient presentations.

• Strong patient communication and education skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative urgent care environment.

• Weekend availability required.

• No on-call or overnight shifts.
