Production SupervisorUnder direction of the Operations Management, the Production Supervisor directs the workflow of direct and indirect Production Hourly Team Members, leads in the Production of high-quality products for internal and/or external customers, and is responsible for driving continuous improvement while achieving expected safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.We are a leading manufacturer, distributor, and fleet sales expert of premium truck bodies with commercial upfit for vocational markets nationwide. We strive for a pioneering attitude and a focused commitment to innovation in all we do.The Nuts and BoltsMaintain a safe work environment; respond to safety issues with urgencyMaintain work skills to facilitate job performance as a working member of the team, and to be aware of the required skills for team membersDirect the work of direct and indirect Production Hourly Team Members including training employees on required job functionsAssign work to each employee to maintain high productivity and skill levelsEstablish quality standards to ensure customer satisfactionManage the work schedule to achieve delivery requirements to both internal and external customersCoach & counsel employees as necessaryParticipate in and support continuous improvement activitiesResponsible for tracking key metrics; maintain daily boards; complete reporting (employee evaluations; time and attendance, safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and labor)Participate in interview process for hourly candidatesOther duties as assignedRequired CredentialsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of (3) years prior experience leading an hourly skilled trade workforceAt Reading Truck, we have more than 65 years of industry leadership in the manufacture, distribution, and enhancement of work truck bodies.
