Role Description The Loan Consultant role is a full-time hybrid position based in Orange, CA, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Loan Consultant will guide clients through the mortgage process, from initial inquiry and pre-qualification to loan application, documentation review, and closing. Daily responsibilities include assessing borrower needs, explaining product options and lending guidelines, and recommending suitable home financing solutions. The role involves collaborating with internal teams, real estate partners, and other referral sources to ensure timely processing, clear communication, and a positive borrower experience. The Loan Consultant will also follow up with leads, maintain an active pipeline, and meet production goals while upholding compliance and ethical standards. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Loans and mortgage products, including loan structures, guidelines, and documentation requirements. Solid understanding of Finance and Financial Services, with the ability to analyze income, credit, and overall borrower eligibility. Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on clear communication, empathy, and relationship building. Proven Sales experience, including lead follow-up, pipeline management, and achieving production targets. Familiarity with lending regulations and compliance practices; prior experience in the mortgage or banking industry is highly beneficial. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing time and tasks both in-office and remotely. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with loan origination systems and basic office software. High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
