Staff Accountant - Construction San Bernardino, CA | Onsite $80,000 - $100,000 + Full Benefits Are you a detail-driven accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, project-based environment? We're partnering with a well-established and growing electrical construction company in San Bernardino County that's looking for a Staff Accountant to play a key role in their finance team. This is more than just an accounting job - you'll be a trusted partner to operations , supporting project success through accurate financials, job costing, and strong business insight. What You'll Be Doing Own and support full-cycle accounting across AP, AR, GL, and payroll entries Drive accuracy with reconciliations (GL, bank, and credit cards) and resolve discrepancies proactively Contribute to month-end close and prepare key financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Manage and track job costing / project financials in a construction environment Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Support audit readiness and partner with external auditors Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, operations, and leadership Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff as needed Help improve processes and drive efficiency across accounting operations What We're Looking For 3-5+ years of accounting experience (full-cycle required) Experience in construction accounting or job costing (required) Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (construction software a plus) Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, reporting) Highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across teams Why You'll Love This Role Competitive salary + strong benefits package Stable and growing company in the construction industry High visibility role with impact on project success Collaborative culture built on: Safety First Fostering Success Superior Performance Unquestionable Trust All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
