Laboratory Technician

The candidate must be able to perform the tasks listed below (but are not limited to the tasks listed below):

• Evaluate material and specimen submissions received from supported sites (with subject PII removed) for acceptability and preparation for forensic testing.
• Ancillary duties in their respective departments that they are trained and certified to complete.
• Contractors are expected to handle themselves professionally and be receptive to instruction from Lead Technicians, when they are assigned additional duties.
• Must have Secret security clearance or be able to obtain clearance.
• Basically, looking for candidates that have some experience working in a drug testing lab facility.
• The Prime did not mention anything about required certifications.

Duties:

• Evaluate material and specimen submissions received from supported sites for acceptability and prepare them for forensic testing.
• Adhere to guidelines used to establish local requirements and procedures to ensure the forensic integrity of initial specimen processing in the Accessioning Section of the Initial Testing Department.
• Ensure batch entries are appropriately documented with any discrepancies linked to that subject/bottle in the software system.
