RN CVICUJob Title: RN CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Background in Critical Care/Cardiac Critical Care Open heart recovery experience Post cardiac procedure recovery experience Description: The unit consists of 8 beds. The patient ratio is 1:1 to 1:3. Patient population includes post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, and TAVRs. Post complex PCI interventions are also managed. Procedures include post-open heart, post-cardiac procedures, surgical interventions, central line placements, arterial line placements, and chest tube placements.
