Job Opportunity

Position: Endoscopy RN

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse to join our team on a variable shift basis. This role requires prior experience and involves a variety of responsibilities within the Endoscopy unit.

Position Details

• Shift: Variable (Four 9-hour day shifts scheduled between Monday and Friday)
• Pre-op RN Shifts: 0630-1600 or 0700-1630 (2 RNs in Pre-op per day)
• PACU RN Shifts: 0800-1730 or 0830-1800 (3 RNs in PACU per day)
• Procedure RN Shifts: 0730-1700 (2 to 4 RNs depending on the day)
• On-call Requirements: One overnight call shift per week, call begins after work hours until 7 AM. If not working on a call day, call begins at 1700.
• Weekend Call: Two weekend call shifts during a 6-week period, with coverage for 24 hours (0700-0700).

• Unit Beds: Pre-Op (8), PACU (6), Procedure Rooms (4)
• Staffing: Variable based on case volumes (12-16 staff members)
• Patient Ratios: Variable
• Equipment: Olympus Scopes, ERBE, Medivator, ION, Boston Scientific, Cook
• EMR: Cerner

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS Certification
• Active NC or Compact State Nursing License

Preferred Skills:

• Pediatric Endoscopy Experience
• Pulmonary Endoscopy Experience
• Endoscopy Tech Experience

Typical Procedures Performed

• Adult: EGD, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, EBUS, Bronchoscopy, Navigational Bronchoscopy, Stent Placements, PEG Placement, Tracheostomy Placement, Pulmonary Cryotherapy, Capsule Endoscopy, Foreign Body Removal
• Pediatric: EGD, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy (Ages 1-18)

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Green surgical scrubs provided; navy blue scrubs are also acceptable.
