This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Professional Services Implementation Specialist based in the United States.
This role sits at the intersection of technical delivery and customer success, focused on deploying and configuring enterprise-grade data protection solutions in complex customer environments. You will work directly with clients to translate requirements into fully implemented systems that ensure resilience, performance, and operational continuity. The position requires a strong blend of hands-on technical expertise and customer-facing consulting skills, with responsibility for guiding deployments from planning through production. You will be involved in installation, upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, and system validation across hybrid and cloud infrastructures. Operating in fast-paced enterprise settings, you will collaborate closely with internal engineering, sales, and support teams to ensure smooth delivery and high customer satisfaction. This is a highly impactful role where precision, reliability, and problem-solving directly influence customer trust and operational success.
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end implementation services for enterprise customers, ensuring successful deployment, configuration, and optimization of data protection solutions. You will translate customer requirements into technical designs, execute installations and migrations, and support ongoing system validation and troubleshooting throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Partner with customers to define requirements and deliver tailored implementation solutions
- Deploy, configure, and optimize enterprise data protection and backup systems
- Execute system installations, upgrades, and environment assessments across customer infrastructures
- Lead data migration, onboarding, and implementation projects from planning through completion
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure timely resolution during deployment phases
- Validate system performance and configuration accuracy against customer expectations
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on scope, delivery, and technical approach
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and support
Requirements:
This role requires a technically strong and customer-focused professional with deep experience in data protection, backup systems, and enterprise IT environments. You should be comfortable working across storage, cloud, and on-premise infrastructures, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver solutions in fast-moving customer settings.
- 5+ years of experience in data protection, backup, or disaster recovery environments
- 2+ years in a customer-facing or consulting role within enterprise IT
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery tools, including platforms similar to Commvault
- Experience with enterprise storage systems (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, HDS, Oracle, Quantum)
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud
- Working knowledge of SAN, NAS, object storage, and hybrid architectures
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Understanding of enterprise databases and applications (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, SharePoint, Exchange)
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in complex environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
