Knowledge of energy management and sustainabilitypractices. Job Description The University is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC TechnicianII to join our Facilities Services team. This mid-level position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration(HVAC/R) systems across academic buildings, laboratories, residencehalls, athletic facilities, and administrative spaces. Job Duties Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs onHVAC and refrigeration systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues involving chillers, boilers, pumps, air handlers, VAV systems, cooling towers, and buildingautomation systems (BAS). Install, replace, and repair HVAC equipment, motors, controls, thermostats, and related components. Monitor and adjust building environmental systems to maintain occupant comfort and operational efficiency. Respond to service requests and emergency maintenance calls in a timely manner. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, andtechnical manuals. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment condition. Assist with campus energy conservation initiatives and sustainability programs. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable safety regulations, codes, and University policies. Collaborate with other Facilities Services personnel, contractors, and campus stakeholders.
