Position Summary Sam's Club #4942 1000 S Randall Rd, Elgin, IL 60123-4108. Join our meat team and you won’t just cut meat; you’ll make important decisions about the quality, packaging, and display of our meat items for our members. What You'll Do Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with team members and be flexible to the needs of the business. Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of floor operations, back‑room operations, product safety, sanitation, inventory management, and equipment maintenance. Prepare meat products (cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) per established standards and maintain product quality. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates; make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality. Be an Owner: Maintain operational excellence, uphold work‑area standards, enforce quality and date‑control for meat products, secure merchandise, eliminate waste, and ensure proper packaging and labeling. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department, model high‑quality service and products, and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion. Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in business processes and practices. Complete work assignments using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; adapt to change and learn from feedback.
