Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg/Tele Location Alexandria, LA Unit Information Unit Name: 4 South Number of Beds: 36 Patient Ratios: 1:6 Unit Staffing Description: Two unit secretaries available daily from 0600-2200, with patient care techs present at all times. Type of Equipment: Telemetry monitors, Dynamaps, glucometers, iMobile phones, bladder scanner. Documentation System: Meditech Scheduling Requirements: 12-hour shifts (7 PM-7 AM), every other weekend, holidays required. Floating Policy: All nurses may float to other units as needed. Patient Experience Requirements: Hourly rounding, bedside shift report, My Care Boards, and AIDET. Hospital Specifics Pathways to Excellence Certified Certified Stroke Center Certified Chest Pain Center Level II Trauma Center Qualifications Requested Skill Set: Strong nursing background, thorough assessment skills, attention to detail, and ability to recognize condition changes. Positive attitude, flexibility, dependability, teamwork, self-motivation, good communication, and interpersonal skills. Desire for excellence and accountability, ability to multitask, and handle stressful situations. Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Meditech Experience: Required Advanced Skills: Telemetry rhythm interpretation Procedures Performed: PICC line removal, vascular catheter/temp catheter removal Dress Code Ceil Blue Scrubs.
