Data Governance Analyst - A&F Co.

Salary: $90,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• We want someone with strong experience in data governance frameworks and the processes needed to support governed customer data across business and technology teams.
• We need practical knowledge of data quality concepts, governance controls, issue management, and remediation practices.
• We are looking for experience in metadata management, data catalog adoption, business definitions, and documentation standards.
• We value understanding of lineage concepts and traceability across data sources, transformations, and downstream usage.
• We need strong capability in consent and privacy, with the ability to embed regulatory and policy requirements into governance practices.
• Experience with OneTrust or a similar privacy and consent management platform is preferred.
• We are looking for someone who can translate governance requirements into workable processes, operating models, and platform standards.
• You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and making quick decisions as priorities and business needs evolve.
• We need strong collaboration skills and demonstrated experience working cross-functionally.
• You should bring a self-starter mindset and the ability to solve complex problems.
• A bachelors or masters degree, or equivalent work experience, is required.
• We expect at least 5 years of experience in data, analytics, or governance, ideally in a retail or customer-focused environment.
• Experience supporting or leading governance initiatives covering data quality, metadata or catalog management, lineage, stewardship, or policy implementation is required.
• Experience working with consent and privacy requirements tied to customer data management, compliance, or digital data practices is required.

• We lead the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of data governance frameworks across data domains.
• We define and put into practice standards, processes, and documentation for data quality, metadata, cataloging, lineage, stewardship, and policy adherence.
• We partner with legal, technology, marketing, digital product, and analytics teams to align governance priorities and embed requirements into daily operations.
• We support the development and adoption of data quality practices, including issue detection, ownership, remediation workflows, and control alignment.
• We drive metadata and catalog management by establishing data definitions, critical data elements, ownership expectations, and documentation standards.
• We support lineage documentation and traceability across key customer data assets to improve transparency, impact assessment, and change management.
• We ensure consent and privacy requirements are built into governance frameworks, standards, and platform-related processes.
• We translate governance requirements into clear business needs and work with solution design and technology teams to support implementation across platforms and data flows.
• We own governance-related backlog priorities and help execute the roadmap for data governance maturity and customer data management initiatives.
• We provide subject matter expertise, stakeholder guidance, and change support for governance frameworks across the enterprise.
