Respiratory Therapist

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Kentucky respiratory therapy license in good standing.
• One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NRP preferred. If NRP is not held, on-site training may be provided.
• Experience with arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation.
• Familiarity with mechanical ventilators and noninvasive ventilation devices such as Hamilton C1, Avea ventilators, and BiPAP equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• NICU experience preferred but not required.
• Experience using Meditec documentation system preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900–0700.
• Every other weekend required as part of the 4-week self-scheduling system.
• Night shift scheduling required.
