Join a rapidly scaling crypto payments company redefining how global transactions occur. As Head of Legal, you will lead all payments, treasury, and cross-currency legal frameworks—driving compliance and strategic growth within a fast-paced environment. This is a unique opportunity to shape the legal backbone of innovative financial infrastructure.
You will own and advise on legal structures for fiat, stablecoins, and cryptocurrencies, engaging with regulators, banks, and fintech partners worldwide. Your expertise will directly influence the development of compliant, scalable payment solutions for a global market. This role works closely with leadership to ensure future-proof, efficient operations, providing pragmatic legal guidance as we expand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead legal strategy for payments, treasury, and cross-border infrastructure.
- Advise on platform choices and structuring for deposits, FX, and settlement flows.
- Manage global regulatory and licensing compliance, including licensing regimes like MTLs and PSD2.
- Collaborate with leadership to scale infrastructure with strategic and legal precision.
- Act as the organization’s authority on complex payments law and regulation.
- Provide pragmatic legal advice in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Requirements / Who We’re Looking For:
- 8-10+ years experience in payments, crypto, or fintech law.
- Hands-on expertise in cross-border payments regulation and licensing.
- Strong network with regulators, banks, and fintech providers.
- Proven ability to navigate complex licensing regimes worldwide.
- Excellent communicator with strategic and operational insight.
- Experience advising or leading legal functions in fast-growth companies.
