Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and offers according to company policy. Adhere to company limits on cash shortages/overages and work to control loss. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs). Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons. Stay current with ads and promotions. Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures. Identify unsafe conditions and notify management. Perform preventive maintenance and notify repairs when needed. Create a welcoming environment for customers and assist with product inquiries. Comply with all laws and company guidelines. Work effectively in high-paced, stressful environments and manage conflicts cooperatively. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
