Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting a Cook 3 to join the hotel’s team. An art‑deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid‑beach. The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean‑view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Cook 3 To succeed in this role you are an individual who: Excels in an environment that prioritizes quality and consistency Enjoys working in a team environment where people support others and offer assistance to others in order to ensure the team is successful Takes pride in your work area, cleaning as you go and ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for What you will be responsible for: Food preparation and presentation in one or more stations of a large commercial kitchen: pantry, saute, grill. Follow standardized recipes and ensure consistent preparation according to guest specifications Participate in cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment Assist with proper storage, preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items Assist with food preparation in advance of food service hours Follow all safety guidelines including safe‑handling of food items, knife safety, safe usage of kitchen equipment, etc. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience cooking in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a full‑service boutique or luxury resort environment with multiple outlets and concepts. Prior experience with computer operations helpful. Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal. Conversational abilities in Spanish helpful. Must be able to multi‑task and display ability to recognize that the team members’ and guests’ needs are always primary. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as business dictates.
