Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM) with after-hours call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate patient care within the Operating Room, coordinating between the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and room staff throughout the perioperative period
• Function as a first assistant during surgical incision, excision, and repair of pathology for procedures within granted privileges
• Participate in preoperative assessment and planning for selected surgical patients in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in medication, treatment, and patient care standards on a consistent basis
• Support all functions related to operating room services, including intraoperative patient care

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an RNFA program that meets AORN standards
• 1–2 years of experience as an RNFA
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Two or more years of perioperative nursing experience
• Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) certification
• PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Status) certification
• Active membership with the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN)
