Engage in self-assessment and peer review for professional development. Serve as a support, resource, and preceptor for nursing staff and students. Comply with annual education and mandatory/regulatory requirements. Organize staff assignments to ensure appropriate delegation of activities. Comply with unit-based and organizational professional standards. Analyze achievement of unit throughput efficiencies and metrics. Coordinate and direct unit activities to provide patient care. Evaluate the patient's progress towards expected outcomes. Educate the patient/family regarding health status and established plan of care.
