Hours: 6:30AM – 3:00PM (1st Shift)

Full-Time, Direct Hire

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our client’s precision manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a skilled fabricator with strong GTAW/TIG welding experience , particularly with stainless steel, who can read blueprints, operate fabrication equipment, and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

What You’ll Do

• Perform GTAW/TIG welding, with an emphasis on stainless steel fabrication.
• Operate welding machines, hand tools, drill presses, manual mills, and manual lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Set up and operate a variety of metal fabrication equipment.
• Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, filler gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Identify welding and fabrication issues during setup and production and make appropriate adjustments or corrections.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and dimensional requirements.
• Perform basic fabrication operations including cutting, drilling, grinding, buffing, and fitting.
• Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, power lifts, jib cranes, hand trucks, and pallet jacks/skid jacks.
• Complete production paperwork and enter required data accurately.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work effectively with team members and assist with training others when needed.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of stainless steel welding experience using GTAW/TIG.
• 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions.
• Strong understanding of welding and fabrication processes.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform basic math, including fractions, decimals, metric-to-inch conversions, basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry using a calculator.
• Ability to troubleshoot welding and fabrication problems and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to learn new skills and train others.
• Experience operating forklifts, power lifts, jib cranes, and other material-handling equipment is preferred.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform hands-on welding and fabrication work in a manufacturing environment. Employees must be able to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment, use hand and power tools, handle materials, and perform the physical requirements associated with the position.
