Project Manager

AVAdek is seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our Dallas team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in construction project management.

AVAdek specializes in the design, engineering, fabrication, and installation of architectural aluminum structures. Our Project Managers oversee projects from initial handoff through fabrication, installation, and closeout, serving as the primary link between our customers and our internal teams.

This position requires someone who is organized, proactive, financially minded, and comfortable coordinating multiple projects and priorities at the same time. We are especially interested in candidates who understand the fundamentals of project budgeting, Work-in-Progress (WIP) management, and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage projects from initial handoff through fabrication, installation, and closeout.
• Review project scope, construction documents, specifications, contracts, and budgets to understand project requirements and identify potential risks.
• Coordinate with Drafting and Engineering to ensure shop drawings align with the contracted scope, architectural design intent, structural requirements, and project budget.
• Monitor project budgets and WIP throughout the life of the project, identifying cost exposure, scope changes, and potential financial risks before they impact project performance.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure material procurement aligns with project requirements, schedules, and established budgets.
• Work closely with Warehouse and Field Operations to coordinate fabrication, material readiness, installation schedules, and project-specific requirements.
• Work with the Field team to address jobsite conditions, installation challenges, and changes as they arise.
• Identify and manage change orders and scope deviations to protect the financial performance of the project.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, architects, owners, and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with customers regarding project status, schedules, coordination items, and potential issues.
• Attend project meetings and visit jobsites when necessary.
• Proactively identify project risks and develop solutions before they impact cost, schedule, or customer relationships.

This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed a degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field, or someone with approximately 1–2 years of relevant professional experience.

• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for project outcomes.

Construction experience is beneficial but not required. We are looking for someone with the right foundation, aptitude, and drive who can develop into a highly effective Project Manager.
