Research Medical AssistantWe are seeking a dedicated and friendly Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Your positive attitude and willingness to help will be a vital part of providing exceptional care to our patients.Clinical Duties (may include, but are not limited to):Obtaining and documenting patient medical historyClearly explaining treatment procedures to patients in a compassionate mannerPreparing patients for examinations and ensuring their comfortAssisting the physician during examinations and proceduresCollecting and preparing laboratory specimens with attention to detailPerforming basic laboratory tests efficientlyProviding patient instructions on medication use and special diets with empathy and clarityPreparing and administering medications, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections (including vaccinations/immunizations) as directed by a licensed provider (e.g., a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant)Handling prescription refills as directed by the physicianPerforming phlebotomy with care and professionalismTaking electrocardiograms and ensuring accurate resultsMaintaining cleanliness, organization, and stock levels in clinic exam rooms and common areasAdministrative Duties (may include, but are not limited to):Proficiently using computer applications to manage patient informationAnswering telephones with a warm, welcoming toneGreeting and welcoming patients, ensuring a positive first impressionUpdating and filing patient medical records accuratelyCoding and completing insurance forms meticulouslyScheduling appointments efficiently and accommodating patients’ needsHandling correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping tasks with attention to detailClinical Research Duties (may include, but are not limited to):Assisting the Principal Investigator and study team with assigned study tasks in a supportive and organized mannerSchedule:8-hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayOccasional weekend availabilityFriendly behavior and a willingness to assist both patients and team members are essential qualities for this role.
